Mastra is an Open Source TypeScript framework for building, observing, and improving AI agents, workflows, and RAG pipelines. It consolidates agents, graph-based workflows, short-/long-term memory, tool/MCP integration, voice capabilities, and observability into a unified stack. Beyond the Open Source framework, Mastra offers a paid cloud platform (Mastra Studio/Platform) for production monitoring. Mastra 1.0 was released as a stable version in January 2026, following the project's launch in 2024.
