MatrAIx is an evaluation infrastructure developed by Harvard and MIT researchers that tests AI systems and digital products with simulated users. Its core component is the "Persona 8B" database containing 8.3 billion synthetic personas across 1,290 categorical dimensions, complemented by "MatrAIx Playground" environments (Survey, AI Chatbot, Web, App) and a library of 1,010 test tasks. The underlying research paper was published on arXiv on August 4, 2026; code and a filtered core dataset of approximately 1 million personas are publicly available on GitHub and Hugging Face under the MIT License.
