Google Vids is a browser-based, AI-powered video creation and editing application included in the Google Workspace suite. The platform uses Google's Gemini and Veo models (currently Veo 3.1) for text-to-video generation, AI avatars, AI voiceovers, and automatic script creation. It primarily targets workplace scenarios (training, internal communications, project documentation) and supports real-time collaborative editing similar to Google Docs. Since April 2026, free Google accounts can generate AI video clips via Veo 3.1 (10 generations/month at no cost), while advanced features such as AI avatars, custom music (Lyria 3), and higher generation limits are reserved for paid subscriptions.
