Claude Fable 5 is Anthropic's most powerful publicly available AI model and the first publicly accessible model in the new "Mythos-class". It was released on June 9, 2026, and is designed for deep Reasoning as well as long-term, autonomous agent work spanning multiple days, such as in software development, scientific research, and complex knowledge work. The model supports text and image inputs with a context window of 1 million Token and achieved first place on the Artificial-Analysis-Intelligence-Index at launch with 64.9 points. Access was briefly suspended due to US export controls, and since early July 2026, Fable 5 has been globally available again.
