Pi Durable is an experimental, Open Source package from Earendil (the company founded by Armin Ronacher and Colin Daymond Hanna that acquired the coding agent Pi) for building durable, agentic applications beyond the terminal. It ports Pi's core logic to TypeScript and externalizes all stateful components, allowing tasks and conversations to be persisted as checkpoints and resumed exactly after crashes or restarts. The package orchestrates multiple parallel conversations, supports branched sessions as well as multiple simultaneously controlling clients, and uses SQLite or JSONL as storage backend.
