Pi Coding Agent is an Open Source terminal coding agent from the earendil-works/pi project. It's a minimal, highly extensible agent harness with four core tools (Read, Write, Edit, Bash) that gives the model file access, shell access, and an editing loop in the current working directory. The tool is provider-agnostic (BYOK) and supports over 20 LLM providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others; it has no license fees itself, with costs coming only from the model APIs and subscriptions you use. Pi runs in four modes (interactive, print/JSON, RPC, SDK) and can be customized via TypeScript extensions, Skills, Prompt Templates, and Themes.
