Momentum
Seed is the frontier language model family from the ByteDance Seed team, deployed as a Foundation Model behind products such as Doubao. The current generation Seed2.0 (variants Pro, Lite, Mini, and a Code model) is a multimodal agentic model with a strong focus on Reasoning, Coding, and long-horizon task execution. The model is proprietary and available via Volcano Engine/Doubao App and their respective APIs, with context windows up to 256K Token. Additionally, Seed-OSS-36B exists as a separately licensed Open Source variant under Apache-2.0 with up to 512K context.
