ERNIE 5.1 is an optimized version of Baidu's 2025 ERNIE 5.0 with 2.4 trillion parameters. The model reduces parameter size by two-thirds while retaining 98% of the original model's performance. ERNIE 5.1 ranks number 4 on Arena's Search Leaderboard and operates at 6% of the compute cost of comparable models.
