MiMo Code V0.1.0 is a terminal-native, open-source AI coding agent released by Xiaomi's MiMo team on June 10, 2026, under the MIT license. It is a fork of the open-source OpenCode project, extended with a persistent multi-layer memory system, multi-agent orchestration, and a dedicated harness for the MiMo model family. In Xiaomi's own controlled experiments, MiMo Code outperforms Claude Code by roughly five percentage points on both SWE-Bench Pro (62% vs. 57%) and Terminal Bench 2 (73% vs. 68%). The bundled default model is MiMo-V2.5 (free for a limited time); DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint are also supported.
