Concat (formerly WolfCut) is a free, Open Source desktop video editor as a CapCut alternative, developed by the GitHub community around jub0t/Concat. The application is built on a native Rust engine with a React interface and runs entirely locally on Windows, macOS, and Linux without cloud connectivity. Core features include multi-track timeline editing, automatic subtitles via offline-running Whisper, and local text-to-speech synthesis through sherpa-onnx; all AI models are downloaded once and subsequently run offline on the device. The project is currently in Beta/Alpha phase (version 0.2.x) and is published under the AGPL-3.0-or-later license with a plugin exception.
