Kimi K2.7 Code (officially: Kimi K2.7-Code) is a coding-specialized, open-weight language model by Moonshot AI, released on June 12, 2026. It is built on a Mixture-of-Experts architecture with 1 trillion total parameters (32B active per token) and a 256K token context window. The model is exclusively focused on long-horizon, agentic software engineering tasks — it is not a general-purpose chat model — and uses approximately 30% fewer reasoning tokens than its predecessor K2.6. All benchmarks published at launch are Moonshot first-party; independent third-party results (e.g., SWE-bench Pro) were not yet available at release.
