Markup AI is a content governance platform for enterprises that automatically scans, scores, and rewrites human and AI-generated content using so-called "Content Guardian Agents." The agents check texts against brand guidelines, terminology, style, and compliance requirements, and are also designed to improve content discoverability in AI-powered search systems. The product is the successor and rebranding of long-established content governance provider Acrolinx and is offered API-first and MCP-first for developers, as well as through integrations in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Contentful, AEM Guides, Oxygen XML, and Figma.
