IBM Instana Observability is an AI-powered, fully automated observability platform from IBM targeting DevOps and SRE teams. It automatically discovers and instruments applications and infrastructure, delivering real-time full-stack visibility with 1-second metric granularity. Instana supports over 300 technologies and platforms and is available as SaaS or self-hosted. Since IBM's acquisition of the originally Chicago-based company (founded 2015), it has been marketed as IBM Instana Observability (GA: 2021-02-09).
