GrayKey is a forensic hardware/software tool for lawfully unlocking and fully extracting data from locked iOS and Android devices, developed by Grayshift (founded in Atlanta in 2016). Following Grayshift's acquisition by Magnet Forensics in March 2024, the product is now distributed as "Magnet Graykey" and is exclusively available to law enforcement and government agencies in select countries, not to the private sector. The solution typically enables same-day access to encrypted devices with complete file system extraction including deleted data, and is continuously updated via license subscription with new exploits and support for current devices.
