DeepSeek Harness v0.1 (CLI-name: dsh) is an Open-Source agent framework for coding agents released by DeepSeek on August 13, 2026, positioned as a direct alternative to Anthropic's Claude Code. It is built on the plugin kernel "Cordis" following the principle of "everything is a plugin": models, tools, sessions, sandboxes, memory, and the web interface are interchangeable plugins. The source code is available on GitHub under MIT license but is still in developer preview stage (version 0.1.0-rc.5) with announced Breaking Changes. It is primarily used via a locally launched web UI and CLI, optionally with DeepSeek's own V4 models or third-party models from Anthropic, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Azure, and Google Vertex.
