Databricks Genie is the native AI experience of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform: it enables users to ask questions in natural language about structured and unstructured enterprise data, explore dashboards, and run Databricks Apps. Answers are based on Unity Catalog governance. Genie comprises multiple product lines: Genie One (business interface), Genie Agents (formerly "Genie Spaces," domain-specific curated data environments), and Genie Code (AI coding/data assistant for developers). An "Agent Mode" enables multi-step autonomous Reasoning with research plans, iterative SQL queries, and reports including citations and visualizations.
