The assistant understands conversational context, remembers user needs, and provides real-time information on product details, shipping, sizes, and availability within a single conversation, embedded at various touchpoints across the TikTok app. According to tech media, the assistant appears concretely as a chat window on merchant product pages in TikTok's in-app browser, with responses based on information provided by merchants; checkout then takes place on the merchant's website. The product is being developed in collaboration with commerce and payment partners such as Salesforce.
