AIUC-1 is the first comprehensive security, safety, and reliability standard for AI agents, developed by the Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company (AIUC), a standards and insurance company based in San Francisco. The standard comprises 50+ auditable controls across six domains (Data & Privacy, Security, Safety, Reliability, Accountability, Society) and is verified by accredited auditors such as Schellman and Coalfire through thousands of Red-Teaming test scenarios. Certified products receive a 12-month validity certificate with quarterly technical retesting and can subsequently obtain specialized AIUC-1-based insurance policies for AI agent failures.
